N-Methyldiethanolamine - MDEA
MDEA is a clear hygroscopic liquid with an amine-like dour. The freshly distilled product is colourless, but prolonged storage may cause a yellowish discoloration.
MDEA is miscible in all proportions with water. It is also soluble in most organic solvents.

- Chemical intermediate
- Treatment of acidic gases
- Lubricant industry
