Tetrahydrofurane - THF
Characteristic:
Tetrahydrofurane is a colorless, ether-like smelling, volatile, combustile liquid. It is mixable with water, alcohols, ketons, esters, ethers and hydrocarbons.
Applications:
- solvent for polystryrene, PVC, polyurethane, cellulose nitrate, adhesives, printing inks, Paints, etc.
- intermediate for polyesters, polyamides, polyurethanes and elastomer production.
- extraction of pyrrolidine and tetrahydrothiopene.
