Ethylene carbonate
Characteristic:
Clear, colorless, nearly odourless molten mass (> 37°C) which is stable under most conditions and not corrosive.
Applications:
- As solvent in inks, paints, paint removers, cleaners, degreaser, metal- and machine cleaning, tar remover.
- As softener, solvent and reactant in textile- and fiber-industry.
- As intermediate in orangic synthesis.
- As electrolyte in batteries with high energy density.
- For the production of photosensitive formulations for lithographic plates
- As Additive for jet- or turbotrop-machines.
- As hydraulic fluids in brake systems.
