Gum Turpentine
Description
Colorless to pale yellow with the odor of essential oils from alive or dead wood respectively rosin of pine trees. Gum Turpentine is produced by destillation from the balm of living trees or from dead wood. Sulphate turpentine is a by product of cellulose production.
Characteristic
Liquid with mild and characteristic odour of turpentine products. The products are insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols, benzene, ethers and chloroform.
Applications
Cleaners, industrial cleaners, soaps, WC hygienic articles, household cleaners, car- and motor-care, sealing compounds, as a solvent for the paint and coating industry, adhesives, hand cleaners, etc.
