Wood turpentine
Description:
Colorless to pale yellow etheric oil with pleasant odour obtained from living or rotten wood or pine rosin.
Characteristic:
- Liquid with mild and characteristic turpentin odour. Unsolutable in water but soluble in alcohol, benzene, ethers, and chloroforme.
- Applications:
Solvent in the paint- and color-industry and in various industrial application. - Basis for odorous substance synthesis.
- Denaturation agent for mineral-oil-tax-products.
